Film premiere: Rock in the Red Zone

In the presence of dignitaries and diplomats.To mark the third annual memorial day for Jewish Refugees from Arab countries and Iran, Harif, together with the Israel embassy, is proud to present the UK Premiere of ‘Rock in the Red Zone,’ directed by Laura Bialis. The film is set in Sderot, a town in southern Israel populated by Jews expelled from Arab countries. It has come to be known as ‘Ir Ha’Musica’ where Mizrahi influences have helped forge an original and vibrant music scene. But Sderot is also in the front line of rocket attacks from Gaza and residents must regularly flee to the bomb shelters when the Color Red siren goes off. Cocktail reception, NW1 venue.
