And ye shall tell your children…..
29 March @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm
The exodus from Egypt is an opportunity to recall a modern exodus of Jews from Arab and Muslim countries. On the Passover Seder night we recite he verse in the Haggadah Shemot 13:8, commanding “And you shall tell your child on that day: ‘Because of this, HaShem did for me, when he took me out of Egypt.’ This year, three sets of grandparents will talk to their grandchildren. What do they tell children who ask, what was your childhood like, how and why did they leave, and what memories stand out most? We hope this will be the first of a series of online events exploring the relationship between generations. If you would like your family to take part, please email info@harif.org. (The photo was taken in the 1930s in Egypt and shows the barmitzvah of twin boys in the presence of their grandparents) Recording here.
