The Forgotten Refugees
Film (50 mins – 2006) Q & A
with Professor Henry Green
The David Project’s film, The Forgotten
Refugees, uses extensive testimony of refugees from Egypt, Yemen,
Libya, Iraq, and Morocco and explains how and why the Jewish
population in the Middle East and North Africa declined from
one million in 1945 to several thousand today.
In the Q & A, Professor Henry Green
of the University of Miami will discuss the issues raised by
the film. He will also talk about his current project, Sephardi
Voices, the first comprehensive and systematic video/oral history
project to document and preserve the testimonies of the Sephardim/Mizrahim
displaced from their homes in the Middle East and North Africa.
